Feeling Independent this 4th of July?

Fireworks, barbecues, patriotic cupcakes… Whatever you’re up to, we hope you’re looking forward to Independence Day as much as we are. And maybe we have a one-track mind (okay, we totally do), but does anybody else think of birth control when they hear the word “independence”? Really, though, what gives you more control over your life than being able to decide when to have kids and when not to (while still having a hot sex life if you want one)?
Which brings us to…you: will you take a moment to share one way birth control has contributed to your independence? Hit us up on Facebook, Twitter, in the comments of this post…on Pinterest? You pick the place, we’ll be the ones reading with relish. (Pun intended.)
“You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism.”
