Let the ACL Countdown Begin!
It’s Wednesday, October 10th… and OU STILL SUCKS! Let the ACL and TX/OU Weekend countdown begin! Okay, half-hearted apologies go out to any Sooner fans—I support your love of Bedsider and birth control, but I do bleed burnt orange.
In other news, Bedsider ATX is going all out for the Austin City Limits Music Festival. Last week we gave y’all a sneak peak of one of our events for this weekend, but we are ready to take it to the next level, if you’re picking up what we’re putting down.
After your full day-o-fun on Friday, drop by our ACL after-party at Holy Mountain featuring Omar S and Thomas Turner of Ghostland Observatory with sets from Learning Secrets resident DJs from 9pm-2am. You can RSVP on Facebook and get your ticket now. If you are going to the festival, don’t fret. The party (and the photo booth) will still be going strong long after The Black Keys finish their set.
Bedsider ATX will be hosting another ACL after-party on Sunday at Mohawk. This free show is open to all ages and features music by Friends and Diamond Rings. Doors open at 6:30pm, but if you don’t want to miss Red Hot Chili Peppers, we’ll be going till midnight!
Festival-goers, allow me to present a few tips. Register your wristband by tomorrow for the chance to have your pass upgraded to VIP. Even if you don’t win VIP status, you can use your wristband to check in at locations throughout the festival for the total ACL experience. Also, download the free app so you can stay up to date will all the musical, foodie, and quirky happenings. The app also lets you group-text your friends at the festival so you don’t have to worry about unreliable wifi/cell service. Last, and certainly not least: stay hydrated. There will be filling stations at the festival so you can stay healthy, hydrated, and have something to wash your BCPs down with.

Personally, I am most excited to see Ben Howard on Friday. We’re in love—he just doesn’t know it yet. And with highs in the mid-80s and a lineup only possible in the great state of Texas, what could go wrong?
Oh that reminds me, get your birth control situation under control before you find yourself stranded at Zilker Park for the weekend. Go forth sexplorer, in the safest way possible!
